XLink Kia Guide, Play ad-hoc games ONLINE!
Xlink Kia is a program that uses your PC as a tunnel to play your AC HOC Games online! with anyone anytime. Basicly you need 2 connections, one is for ur PC to connect to ur psp (wireless) and one for internet use (Can be wired) __________________________________________________________ HOW TO GET XLINK KIA WORKING 1. Register an XTag Your XTag is your username while using the XLink services and is your way of telling the world who you are. To get yourself registered, http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/?go=register 2. Download / Install Kai Download >> http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/?go=register Once downloaded to your computer, run the setup file. ___________________________________________________________ *********************************************************** 3. HOW TO CONNECT TO YOUR PSP (MUST BE WIRELESS) WIRELESS WIFI CARD OR BUILD IN WIFI ____________________________________________________________ ************************************************************ 4) Wireless Connection for PSP Setup AFTER YOU UNTICK thoose click "Internet protocol" then "Properties You will see this. then now go here and press Now your PSP will connect to ur computer everytime u go to a Adhoc game. _________________________________________________________ ********************************************************* 5) XLINK SETUP click that then you'll see this Make everything like the one above but note : *for "Network Adapter" put the connection that is for PSP to PC connection *well put your own XLink Tag account and password now press OK~! ______________________________________________________ ****************************************************** 6) Loading up AD HOC Game Step 1) load up a GAME Step 2) go to ad hoc mode Step 3) dont try to get into a game yet your left green light should be blinking and your computer should sence it! ^ ^ I went in Mutiplayer in wipeout(green light blinking!) ^ ^ PC CONECCTED! __________________________________________________ ************************************************** 7) Loading up XLINK KAI! Leave the console for now after loading up the Ad hoc mode of the game, and take a look at the Kai Diagnostics panel within Kai (you must press the icon, then the icon). ----------------------------------------------------------- The final step is to check whether 'Network Reachable' reports as 'Yes' or 'Not yet..'. (you must press the icon, then the icon). If it remains as 'Not yet..', there is communication being blocked that will prevent you from playing on Kai. This can be due to either a hardware firewall in your router, a software firewall installed on your computer, or a incorrect / missing port-forward. If you have a hardware firewall, ensure you have correctly port-forwarded. *you should see all the "YESs" ___________________________________________________ *************************************************** 8) Final STEP! "TO PLAY!" now that u got everything running, GOOD JOB! (took me like a day to figu out i did something wrong) anyways, Now You can press The WORLD BUTTON and choose the game u want.
